My good buddy Matt designed our wedding invitations & just posted about them on his website! You can read/see the whole post & photos here.
Even before I knew what kind of wedding I wanted, I knew that I wanted our invitations to be music-related (both Todd & I are dorky music fans who have worked or are working in the music biz, after all) and that I wanted Matt to design them. I worked with Matt on a ton of projects when I was at Tough Love & he is so crazy talented and so easy to collaborate with!
I basically just told him that I wanted the invites to be a cassette tape, that I wanted it to seem functional (the “cassette” fits into a “Walkman” envelope and folds out to reveal Side A and Side B liner notes) and he did the rest (it was his idea to use the Walkman font for “Berman” to be more authentic). It was such a painless process & the final product was beyond my expectations.
Oh, and Matt HAND CUT those envelope windows to make sure they were the exact right size. Amazing.
These invitations are probably my second favorite thing about our wedding (after actually marrying Todd, of course. I ain’t no dummy), which is saying a lot because I LOVED OUR WEDDING.
