I don’t normally cross post things from my wedding-centric Tumblr over here, but since this was a DIY crafty sort of project, I figured I’d share it on mah regular Tumblr too…
I made a veil, y’all!
I still have a few tweaks to make until it’s finished, but this is the 99% complete version. I used this Hip Hostess birdcage veil tutorial as a guide and it was honestly not that bad! Excluding one false start wherein I had to redo all my sewing (blergh), I was able to crank this sucker out in about an hour.
The under layer is Russian netting that I bought on the Internets, and the top layer is actually part of my Mom’s veil that she very graciously donated to the cause. All told, with the fabric + hair comb this cost $15 to make. Yeeeee! What do you guys think?
